With the implementation of the updated BCBC 2018 in December, the 2015 revisions to the national building code are now in effect for new structures in British Columbia. The Vancouver Island Branch of the SEABC will be hosting Andy Metten, P.Eng., Struct.Eng., (from Bush, Bohlman & Partners, Vancouver BC) for an evening presentation to provide an overview of the major changes to Part 4 to both BCBC 2018 and NBCC 2015.

This seminar will NOT be available via live webcast. The seminar slides will be available on the SEABC website after the event.

Description

Registration includes a light dinner. Attendees are welcome to attend a social hour to follow at 7:00 pm.

Presenter Biography
Andy Metten is a senior partner at Bohlman & Partners. After 25 years of experience in structural design, Andy still approaches his projects with an enthusiasm and passion recognized by all his clients. His work is best reflected in large and small airport facilities and projects where the structure is the dominant aspect of the project. Respected as an expert in structural steel design and seismic design, Andy is an active participant in national committees in these areas.
