Description
The goal of these events is to develop a stronger structural engineering community and stimulate interesting discussion on the Island. These sessions will start with a short presentation about a topic of interest, followed by Q&A and open discussion among the attendees (or general socializing).
This first event is centered around the seismic force increases in the upcoming code and the impacts of the revised Vs30 assessment. This force increase is particularly significant for mid-rise wood buildings on the Island and we are hosting an open discussion to review the topic as a group.
