Please join us for a tour of the seismic upgrade and new addition of Victoria High School in Victoria BC, the oldest high school in western Canada.

Cost: Free. But limited to 20 attendees only so reserve your spot early!
The original structure was built in 1914, which is now heritage designated. Additions were completed in 1955 and 2011.
The seismic upgrade consists primarily of the addition of reinforced concrete shear walls on new footings with rock anchors, steel and concrete drag struts, connection upgrades between walls and floor diaphragms, and upgrades to the connectivity of brick wythes in the heritage masonry walls.
Important Note: The project is currently under construction. Tour members are required to bring their own personal protective equipment (hard had, steel-toed boots, high-visibility vest).
Tour Participants can park in the lot on Grant St. past the school.. Then please proceed to the meeting place at the gates at 1260 Grant St.
